I never thought I would need one (who knew I would have written this many by now?), but here is a Master Fic List.
( The Master…Fic List that is, LOL )
( The Master…Fic List that is, LOL )
Two sequels both at 50%, three KM fics done to be betaed, two TW drafted out and I look up and it's already the bane of my existence: Thanksgiving.
Already?
-fics on pause as mommy plans budget and menu-
And of course, I haven't been posting word counts or feedback either. But I see
teachwriteslash and
gingerlr has been doing great. -cheering-

Not sure if this is how it's done. Tried to go on the site to input words in for a word count but site is down. I doubt I'll put a word count up everyday. Maybe once a week?
So far so good. Worked on "Reinventing Pavlov" for Star Trek and "Eye of the Storm" for Torchwood. So far:
"Reinventing Pavlov" = 2086 words
"Eye of the Storm" = 3190 words
Hm, the count feels a lot small than it felt like typing it. The goal was 50K?
(thud)
And that was day 1...

Life has been strange, during which I wrote then squirreled away into my hard drive. Only now, I slowly bring them out as I continuing writing a few certain sequels and a hurt!Bones one I had promised
snowinginjune long ago. It's coming, my dear. :)
Title: Literary Companion
Author: d8rkmessngr
Pairing: Kirk/McCoy established
Rating: PG
Words: 2,591, complete, betaed by
soullessminion
Summary: Spock encounters something more than zygomorphic samples on Feltar II. Fascinating…
Spoilers: none
Disclaimer: Star Trek is owned by Paramount, Roddenberry and all the more awesomer people out there who made this awesome legacy that's not me.
Notes: To
soullessminion, who finally succumbed to trying out Star Trek Reboot verse despite the avalanche of editing she's doing of "The Oncoming Storm". And to
gingerlr, because oh, it's wonderful to see her name on a fic again…
( Under a tree, shaded by a generous canopy of violet hued leaves, sat Doctor McCoy. )

This is pathetic. My twins have been in second grade since Tuesday and already I miss them. Wasn't I pulling my hair out all summer because we couldn't send them to camp?
I would hug my cats but too busy staring at the orange-chocolate chip scones I'm icing for their return home after band. They're taking afterschool activities! They're only in the second grade! Is the school bus here yet?
And that was my "hi, I'm still alive" post. LOL

So 6 hours later, we're back, the cats are home, the minivan's picked up from long term parking and aleady September is drawing near.
I'm relaxed. I'm relaxed, except...
1. Three fics, two drafts, five prompts to go...
2. I forgot to turn off my LJ notifications for, well, everyone like
gingerlr,
teachwriteslash,
blcwriter and oh, possibly a dozen others on the TW and ST fandom so I have 258 messages on LJ to sort. (is speechless)
3. I left my bedside lamp on. The. Whole. Time. (is imagining electric bill)
4. School! No clothes fit! Too much vacation, not enough exercise! Mommy will be waddling with her twins to school.
5. Weather in west coast was 70's and low 80's. It's been low 90's here. Wah...
6. Our Tivo was left recording, now full of summer reruns. Oi.
7. I think I left my liver on the plane. Did I mention I was a nervous flyer?
8. Laundry! Ack! (is feeling faint)
9. Laundry! Shriek! (needs a second mention)
LOL. So, I'm back. Not quite. Catching up this week before I begin posting again. All's fair in TW and ST? (hope so)
My place oddly smells like stale cinnamon. ???

So, apparently, we're going on vacation. Tomorrow. Just like that.
( Pack your bags, hon. You need a break. )

-cringe- Well, I've put it off as long as I should. This was a prompt fill that got revamped over and over because I was worried about pacing and characterization and--oh bollocks.
-clicks POST and hides with her cats- LOL.
Title: The Sentinel Weeps
Fandom: Star Trek: Reboot'verse
Pairing: Kirk/McCoy
Rating: NC-17, angst, h/c, first time
Words: 6500+, complete, betaed by
periariyx.
Summary: This is from a prompt from
st_xi_kink: I want a fic where McCoy meets Kirk's stepfather and being a protective lover/BFF smacks a bitch. Note though, this is drastically different from the original prompt fill though as this piece went through rewrites galore.
Warnings: Bones's potty mouth, past violence, implied past abuse, smut
Author's Notes: Help. I'm prompt addicted. Help. Trying to work on "Reinventing Pavlov" and "Eye of the Storm". Really, I am! Smooches to
periariyx and "she who does not want to be named" for putting up with my rewrites and muse lamenting…
( He would get up and grab that nice and shiny new gold uniform through the bars and throttle the kid to within an inch of his smug life. )

Goodness, I need a Prompt meme for Torchwood, because this is getting addictive. Help!
Title: Some Assembly Required
Fandom: Star Trek: Reboot'verse
Pairing: established Kirk/McCoy
Rating: PG-13, angst, h/c
Words: 4000+, complete, betaed by
periariyx
Summary: This is from a prompt from
st_xi_kink: Kirk is injured(your choice for what) and needs to be treated. Bones has to talk him through the treatment (maybe there's head trauma and he's not supposed to sleep, ergo keeping him awake). Pretty much stream of conversation surly and sweet—all Bones and Kirk, pretty please?
Warnings: strong language, violence
Author's Notes: OP, I'm sorry, but I don't think this was what you were looking for as it branched out from the prompt to something, well, you'll see below. Sorry. –hangs head-
( How did 'No, we don't want to join the Federation' translate into taking their captain and tying him up on a stone table? )
